Do you wish to make personalised flavours for your ICE CREAM?

ICE CREAM?
Or is it my favourite dessert?

It's been quite some time now that I haven't posted a recipe. But this one, is one of the best till now!
I tried 4 ice cream flavours all personally named and created :)
Extremely excited to share this one!
Hope you all enjoy making it in the safety of your homes! Obviously, there's a surprise in the end:)

ICE CREAM BASE :
Ingredients:
1 cup milk
2 tbsp corn starch
3/4 cup powdered sugar
250 ml chilled cream (full fat) I used Amul cream:)
Vanilla essence (optional)

Method:
1. In a pan put milk and add churned corn starch with 1/4 cup of sugar into it. Mix it well so that there are no lumps.

2. Now put the pan on a low heat and keep stirring the mixture continuously ensuring no lumps in it. Make sure you use a spatula to do so.

3. Keep stirring on a low flame till the mixture thickens. Now turn off the flame but, make sure that you keep stirring the mixture even then because the pan would still be hot and the mixture may form lumps and we don't want that for a smooth ice cream!

4. Pour the mixture into a steel bowl , cover it with the help of cling wrap and put it into the freezer for 4-5 hours. With it , set your  metallic whisking equipments and 2-3 steel bowls in the freezer as well.

5. After 4-5 hours, take out the mixture and whip it with the help of a blender or a  whisker. You may use an electric or a hand whisker as per your convenience.

6. Take out the steel bowl on an ice bed and put 250 ml of cream into it with about 2-3 tsp of sugar and whisk till it is a little thick in consistency. At this stage add vanilla extract into it.

7. Now mix both the mixtures and blend.
And Voila a perfectly silky and smooth textured ice cream base is ready!

Let's add the choicest of flavours to our ice cream base!
Divide the ice cream base into different bowls (plastic containers with lids) so that they are ready to get flavoured!

FIRST:
MARBLE BROWNIE FLAVOUR:))
• Ice cream base
• Amul dark chocolate
• Salted caramel (optional)
Method: On a double boiler melt the chocolate with caramel.
Add this into the ice cream base and mix. Now with the help of a toothpick swirl the ice cream to make a marble look on your ice cream!
Cover this with a lid and set it in the freezer for 8-9 hours.

This was definitely a hit in my family!

SECOND:
CRAZILY OREOS :))
Ice cream base
• Oreos
• Chocolate syrup
Method: First put a layer of ice cream base, then add a layer of crushed Oreos and chocolate syrup. Top it up with ice cream base again. Garnish it with Oreos!
Cover this with a lid and set it in the freezer for 8-9 hours.

THIRD:
CALM COFFEE:))
• Ice cream base
• Coffee
• dark chocolate syrup
• chopped walnuts
Method: Add coffee and dark chocolate syrup into the ice cream base and mix it well. Garnish it with chopped walnuts. Voilà ! Cover this with a lid and set it in the freezer for 8-9 hours.

FOURTH:
SOOTHING STRAWBERRY:))
• Ice cream base
• Strawberry crush or strawberry purée
• fresh strawberries if available!
Method:
Put strawberry crush and mashed strawberries into the ice cream base and mix well .
Cover it with a lid and set it in the freezer for 8-9 hours!

You can definitely create your own flavours with fruits and candies of your choice! These are just four. Innovations are boundless!

SURPRISE AWAITS YOU IN THE END!

What if you want to eat your ice creams in the most luxurious way? I got your back there as well!

FANCY CONES
• plain cones available in the market
• dark chocolate and caramel syrup which we used in marble brownie flavour ( make that a little more so that you can use it for the fancy cones)
• Finely chopped nuts ( Walnuts, almonds, cashews etc)

Method:
Take the plain cone and dip it in the dark chocolate and caramel syrup from the upper end and now roughly put the chopped nuts over that area. Put these cones in the freezer for about an hour or so and serve your chilled ice creams in them:)
Yes! It's that easy!

Happy Cooking!
