CHEESY NACHOS AND FRESH SALSA DIP!
Nowadays hosting parties or even a small get together is a big headache for us. But little did you know, I have a solution to your problem. Guess what we're gonna learn today:)))
HOW TO MAKE NACHOS!
And for a bonus I even decided to add cheese to them to make cheesy Nachos!
In the end I am also gonna give you the recipe of an easy but absolutely lip smacking fresh salsa dip which does wonders to you taste buds and goes really well with the Nachos.
NACHOS
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup corn flour
- 1 tbsp semolina (sooji)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Any flavoured sauce Eg. chilly sauce for spicy nachos or even ketchup
Method :
FIRST - We will knead a medium soft dough with all purpose flour, corn flour, semolina salt, turmeric,sauce of your choice ( 2 tbsp),
oil ( 2 tbsp). By adding small quantity of water in intervals we will knead a medium soft dough.
SECOND - Now is the fun step! take small portions of dough from it and make nachos in whichever shape you want. Eg. circle, triangle, star,heart etc. Prick subtle holes on them with a toothpick so that they don't inflate like poories.
THIRD - Put these nachos to partially cook like chapatis on a pan/tawa from both sides. keep in mind : you don't have to burn them.
FOURTH - Now take a heavy bottom kadhai and heat oil on a high flame. Before putting the Nachos make sure you put the gas on a low flame. this is very important. Now put the Nachos in and let them cook till golden brown. they cook even after they've taken out of kadhai so make sure you don't overcook them in the first place.
This way the crispy Nachos are all set to be served!
FRESH SALSA DIP!
Ingredients:
- 3 small onions finely chopped
- 3 small tomatoes finely chopped
- 1 finely chopped chilly
- 3-4 basil leaves
- 3-4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 chopped capsicum
- salt and pepper
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp chilly sauce
- 1 tbsp oil or ghee
step 1- First heat some oil in a pan and add minced garlic and chopped onions. Saute them till a little cooked.
step 2- Now add basil leaves,tomatoes, capsicum, salt, pepper, vinegar, sugar and saute.
step 3 - In the end, add the chilly sauce and mix everything up.
LET IT CHILL AND SERVE WITH NACHOS!
SALSA DIP and NACHOS!
CHEESY NACHOS!
INGREDIENTS:
- Obviously Nachos
- 4-5 cheese slices
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (grated)
- Jalapenos
- 1 tomato chopped (cooked)
- 1 onion chopped (cooked)
- salt
- tandoori dip (tandoori masala + mayonnaise)
- pizza pasta sauce (even fresh Salsa will be okay)
- foil
METHOD:
1. Take an oven tray and spread a sheet of foil over it. Now, spread the nachos over it.
2. In a bowl add tandoori dip, pizza pasta sauce sauteed chopped onions and tomatoes, jalapenos and mix well.
3. Now put this mix over the nachos evenly.
4. Put grated mozzarella cheese over the nachos and finally cover it with the cheese slices.
5.Preheat the oven for 10 mins at 130*
6. Now put the nachos in the oven for about 15-20 mins or till the cheese slices begin to melt.
